Our product suite supports SMS messaging campaigns; tools to design, launch and support mobile websites; and mobile content storefronts. Our products provide clients the tools necessary to create innovative marketing initiatives, drive additional revenue and build their brands.
We are actively seeking a Sr. Manager of Business Development responsible for identifying, contacting and closing new business opportunities through a collaborative and consultative sales approach. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment, have a passion for new media opportunities, think creatively and most importantly have a hunter mentality. While mobile experience is desired, interactive experience selling marketing solutions to agencies, publishers and media is required. Your ultimate goal is to achieve targeted growth in sales for the company. This is an individual contributor position with career growth opportunities for those candidates supporting the growth initiatives of 2ergo.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Proactively develop new business opportunities predominantly in the media and marketing/advertising space to achieve sales goals.
- Undertake networking activities with prospective client organizations and targeted markets in order to develop new business opportunities.
- Build relationships with key partners in order to develop new business opportunities.
- Represent 2ergo at industry events.
- Identify industry trends and contribute market expertise throughout the organization.
- Travel is required.
Qualifications:
- Entrepreneurial thinker who is highly competitive and aggressive about closing revenue opportunities.
- A proven track record of negotiating complex deals.
- Demonstrated history of developing relationships with senior level execs.
- High-level relationships at media/entertainment companies and/or advertising agencies.
- Comfortable being held accountable for performance.
- Passionate about pursuing opportunities at the cross-section of media and technology.
- Very strong work ethic and approaches business with a "get it done" attitude.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively at all levels within the organization.
- Experience at an early stage company is preferred.
- At least 4 years sales/business development experience with interactive solutions, agency or new media.
