You ditched IE for Firefox on day one and haven’t looked back since. You envision a future where many more applications migrate to become web applications, and as a wizard of AJAX, CSS, and DHTML, you’re a stickler for web standards compliance.
Recognizing the huge potential of mobile in this new web world, you’re especially interested to dig in and create something truly remarkable for this new lifestyle need. You yourself have a long list of bookmarked mobile web sites on your smartphone already.
In your travels, you’re the first to confidently approach the self-service kiosk, and can’t understand why anyone would wait in the long counter lines anymore. As you check yourself in, you’re thinking of more intuitive interface suggestions you’d like to offer the developers if only there was a suggestion box attached to the side of this thing.
You appreciate an exceptional user interface and love to experiment with trying out innovative new methods to mix, mash-up, and create even more clever web services. You may not be a graphic designer, but you know enough to create some mildly pleasant designs on your own. More importantly, you know how to recognize good and poor design in practice, and you work well with others that strive to continually improve the overall user journey.
As a valuable member of a small and nimble development team, you crave knowledge and love to find new ways to help improve both internal processes as well as external product capabilities. You're not overwhelmed, but excited by the idea of creating something completely new and knowing that thousands of users will be utilizing your work every day, and you thrive on working with similarly passionate people. You’re an agile developer with a “get it done” attitude, will learn a bit from us, and teach us a lot too.
You’re detail oriented, and if you were the project manager, nothing would ever fall on the floor. You take personal pride in your work product, and nothing ever goes out the door that doesn’t live up to your standards of excellence.
