The Challenge

World leading adhesive and sealant brand, Bostik wanted to offer a practical product-focused application for its Evo-Stik range that would offer real value to its many UK DIY enthusiast and tradesmen customers. Bostik wanted the application to simplify the selection and purchasing process for its customers and enhance the customer journey whilst demonstrating its commitment to innovation.

The free app needed to be functional and able to guide users towards the most appropriate product for their intended project. It also had to offer the ability for users to search and browse filtered product results according to trade, DIY and repairs categories and offer the corresponding stock details.

The Solution

Using its cutting edge app development expertise, 2ergo provided a solution that enables customers to access extensive product advice by choosing the two surfaces they intend to bond through an interactive carousel, or browse by category if they are looking for a specific product.

The app then offers users corresponding search results which are presented in product lists that can be filtered by trade or DIY specialism.  Once the correct product is chosen the app allows the user to find their nearest stockist based on pack size, current location or postcode and call the store directly from the phone to view stock levels or view location information on a journey planning map using real-time GPS technology. Favourite products and stockists can be stored for quick and easy future reference.
