Blockbuster needed VoucherNet to be fully integrated into their EPOS system to ensure a flawless mobile coupon solution

The Challenge

Blockbuster is the world’s largest home video retailer operating in 18 countries and with over 50 million registered customers. Blockbuster intended to run a marketing campaign to re-energise dormant customers, boost sales from infrequent customers, and create increased footfall into their store locations.

The Solution

Creating a winning campaign is not just about great ideas. Blockbuster needed VoucherNet to be fully integrated into their EPOS system to ensure a flawless mobile coupon solution.

The redemption mechanism is just as vital as the coupon issuance itself, and using our knowledge of retail organisations 2ergo was able to create a redemption platform that integrated seamlessly into Blockbuster’s EPOS system without impacting any of their existing in-store process SLAs.

2ergo provided Blockbuster the ability to manage their own mobile coupon campaigns using their existing database of customers. Blockbuster conducted 2-for-1 offers, 50 percent off and various other promotional deals to try and stimulate its dormant customers.

The Results

2ergo was able to provide Blockbuster with a five percent redemption rate on their dormant customer base. In addition we were able to help Blockbuster cleanse their data by removing out-of-date or incorrect customer mobile data.
