The Challenge
At a number of Virgin sponsored festivals and events, Virgin Mobile wanted to target their customers with free offers on beer, kebabs and backstage passes. The mobile operator also wanted to allow Virgin Mobile subscribers to virally transmit the offers to friends to present them with new customer opportunities.
The Solution
2ergo launched VoucherNet for Virgin Mobile via a range of text-in and outbound SMS marketing campaigns that distributed mobile coupons for the free beers, kebabs and mobile tickets for the VIP passes.
The beer and kebab mobile coupons were redeemed at the selected sites with VoucherNet capturing all existing users and new customer data upon redemption. Mobile tickets were redeemed using 2D barcode scanners.
The Results
With redemption rates in excess of 70 percent, Virgin achieved brand differentiation and VoucherNet presented Virgin with an enhanced mobile customer relationship management (mCRM) database for future campaigns.
