2ERGO’S GLOBAL EXPANSION BUOYED BY MOVE TO NEW PRESTIGIOUS MEDIA CITY HEADQUARTERS
2ergo, a leading global provider of mobile enabling technology focussing on mobile marketing, customer relationship management and entertainment, has confirmed its continued success and ambitious growth plans by announcing a move to prestigious new headquarters in Salford Quays.
The company, based in Lancashire since its formation in 1999, has grown by 628 per cent in the last 5 years and is poised to transfer its worldwide headquarters to the Digital World Centre in the heart of Media City, Salford Quays.
2ergo’s planned relocation in January 2009, follows landmarks earlier this year including the unveiling of a new identity, rebranding of its Americas arm and recruitment of a new senior management team. These were key steps in the AIM-listed organisation’s plans to achieve ambitious global growth targets. The business has this month been recognised as one of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the UK by the Deloitte Fast 50* award programme.
2ergo provides the products and tools for leading brands to mobilise their business processes and deliver highly effective marketing campaigns and customer relationship management to its audiences - via the mobile channel. It works closely with small and medium sized companies as well as multinational businesses in areas such as fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), financial services, telecom network operators and marketing agencies.
Its customers include some of the biggest names in world business, such as O2, FOX News, Yahoo! and AT&T. Building upon its extensive range of media and marketing clients is a pivotal factor behind 2ergo’s move to Media City.
Chris Brassington, 2ergo group managing director, said: “This move is a powerful symbol of our strategic intention, ambition and commitment to becoming one of the most admired and profitable worldwide players in our field.
“As a global leader in mobile enabling technology, we are well positioned for continued expansion, with mobile communications fast becoming a major growth area. Revenue from mobile marketing alone is set to soar globally from the current £750m a year to around £4bn by 2011 – something UK businesses can’t ignore in today’s difficult economic climate.
“We believe our innovative and highly flexible range of products and services will complement Media City - a purpose-built area which was designed to provide a ‘hub’ for broadcasters, new media industries and businesses wanting to embrace the latest technology. We already work in partnership with FOX News in the United States, so being located next to major media organisations, such as the BBC, and some of the UK’s leading marketing companies can only aid our continued growth.”
At the core of 2ergo’s product portfolio is the groundbreaking ‘Multiserve’, which seamlessly integrates voice, data, text, email, video and mobile internet channels into one powerful mobile software solution. It typifies the company’s range of mobile business, marketing and entertainment products which enable businesses to communicate with their customers in the most cost-effective, highly targeted, personal and eco-friendly way.
2ergo is expected to complete its headquarters move in early January 2009. Staff will occupy 9,157 sq ft of space on the fourth floor of the 72,400 sq ft, nine-storey Digital World Centre building.
Chris Brassington, added: “The new headquarters will provide the people creating our success story - 2ergo’s employees - with the improved office space and better facilities they deserve. In addition, we’re also confident the new base will be a significant asset in attracting and retaining high-quality people in the future.”
2ergo were advised on the move by Manchester-based solicitors, Pannone. The company was also advised by leading supplier of property services, King Sturge, whilst specialist commercial letting agents, Canning O’Neill also advised the landlord on the deal.
